I moved into Westcreek and the mirror above the kitchen sink was cracked and you could see the silver emulsion comming off the backing because it had been cracked for so long. I placed a work order to have it fixed, about 3 days later, while i was at work, they came and fixed the mirror. I came home that day, walked in the door and took off my shoes, as most people do and being a rainy day i didnt want to track mud on clean carpet. Stupid me thinking everything was ok, I walked into the kitchen noticed broken chards of glass EVERYWHERE, no one had cleaned up the sink area. I turned around to get out of the kitchen and put my shoes on but ended up getting glass stuck inside my foot before i got out of the kitchen area.
I went down to the office to complain about the mess and was told that their contractor decided to cut the mirror glass inside the apartment. WHY DO THEY NEED TO DO THIS' Ok it was raining, BUT WESTCREEK HAS ENCLOSED WALKWAYS AND HALLWAYS. There was no water anywhere near my apartment door in the walkway. Not to mention im sure they have an enclosed work area for doing Maintenance, for how big the place is they have to.
Anyways, I was told by the Maintenance Supervisor to go to the ER to have the glass removed and they would pay the medical bills. I did and to this day, more then a year later, they have never paid the medical bills and its not against my credit report.
Its nice that they will admit their mistakes but horrible that they cant keep their promises.
Other then that, it was a nice place to live as long as you are on the 3rd floor and no one above you. I was on the second floor and heard people above me and below me at all hours.
Crime was another issue, they kept a log inside the office of all crime issues on the property. I looked at it a few times and it was pretty thick. The majority of offenses were crimes against property, such as theft, breaking and entering and vandilisim. However, there were a few more serious crimes such as rape, attempted rape, attempted abduction. Now if you have driven by and seen the size of this complex, why cant they have a full time security guard walking the grounds at night'
Parking was horrible for some and ok for others. They had a huge flooding issue with the underground parking area when it rained. And it didnt take Tropical Storm Alison to make it flood. Not sure if it was ever resolved but it was an issue when i was living there. My assigned parking spot was a good 500 yards from my front door (yes it was long enough that i counted my steps and it was about 1600 steps and i have at least a 3 foot stride).
