Westcreek at River Oaks

Great deal considering the area From: Y2KGixxer750 Date posted: 8/22/2004 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   I am almost finished with my one year lease at Westcreek at Highland Village, and my overall experience has been positive. If you have people skills and know how to treat another human being, you will have no problems with the office workers. All of them have been polite to deal with and were quick to act on all requests but one. I am paying well under $700 for a Galleria apartment over 700 sq ft. with cable and washer/dryer in unit! Maintenance has handled all requests quickly and I have truly enjoyed their fitness center including separate cardio and weight rooms. If I were to offer some constructive to the management or advice to potential renters it would be: 1. Send messages letting us know when we have packages in the office. 2. Security- I was excited to have the security of a gated apartment with onsite security in a nice area... Then my motorcycle was stolen from my covered parking less than a week after buying it in the middle of the day. In defense of the complex, there seems to be a professional ring of motorcycle theft going around Houston hitting apartments with the same MO (they are extremely good), but I wish management had followed through on promises to inform residents and try to get witnesses... especially since the same thing happened to another resident about 20 parking spots down from me around one month prior. 3. Parking- Do not park in the garage under the tennis courts during heavy rain, as drainage is inadequate. Overall, I would recommend this apartment highly to someone just out of college like me looking for a nice apartment at a decent price with good amenities. The only reason I will be leaving this complex is to find one with individual garages or large enough to store my next motorcycle inside the apartment.
