This would be the first and last time I'd stay at 2321 Westcreek.
I got a corporate housing lease for 1 1/2 months as a friend had recommended it. Needless to say it was my worst, ill-advised decision of the year. Priced at $67 per day, the apartment was old, the place was noisy and maintenance is terrible.
The washroom got clogged and overflowed twice and the apartment does not provide basic equipment to fix it. I had to call maintenance and the maintenance guy came in with his shoes on, went into the toilet, and then came out leaving dirt on the carpet. The whole apartment smelt funny after that. I'd rather maintenance had not come to fix the problem.
At the same time, the TV went out of service. Something to do with the cable company.
Also, I smell dog-poop everyday when I leave and return to the apartment. An owner even left dog-poop right on the stair-way today.
Another problem is that my unit has the bedroom facing the parking lot. It is hard to get any sleep during the day. As the apartments were close to the road, expect to hear a lot of traffic noise. Some tenants come back late and depending on your luck or sleep medication you may end up waking up in the middle of the night.
Also, the window-blinds provided does a poor job of keeping the sunlight out. Anyone can peek into the apartment. Some of the light-bulbs were blown out when I arrived, no one bothered to come check that it was all working. The water came out brown and I had to let it run for a couple of minutes. The heater is not working properly and emits a burning smell.
I hadn't mentioned that the pool is not maintained and is filled with dirt. The bathroom at the pool is rusty and in a bad state.
The staff was fine in that they try to fix the problem but I think this place is just not worth it regardless of how nice the management is to the tenants.
The only plus point is that the apartment comes with internet connection, which I could have just subscribed on my own. The location is not all that great, its just a little closer to the Galleria but that's it.
I would go back to staying at Oakwood, which from my experience has much better apartments. I am currently counting the number of days till my lease ends so that I can get out!

consider yourself lucky. at least you only signed a 1.5 month lease. this place does suck. I hate it here too for the same reasons you mentioned, but I don't agree with the friendly staff. They are that helpful and only brush you off; at least with my experience. The tenants are suspect and disrespectful. i can't wait until my 1 year lease is up.
