I won't go into a lot of detail, but I have had several problems with maintenance. In one case, it took them three months to fix a water leak. I had to use a bucket to keep the water out of my apartment.
The apartments themselves are old and the interiors are not maintained very well. Repeatedly, I was told that work was performed when I know for a fact it wasn't (They painted over moldy sheetrock and claimed to have replaced it.) There have been serveral issue which has greatly lessened my confidence in the maintenance staff. If you have an old property so maintenance is important.
They also do a VERY poor job of keeping up with the creeks between the buildings. They don't maintain them well and they are frequently dirty and full of algae. At one point, it became so bad that their were things swiming in the one nearest my apartment. As I type, the two nearest me are both bright green. As an aside, when they let them go, birds start drinking from the waterscapes. When they finally get around to treating them, the fill them full of chemicals. The birds continue to drink and you can guess what happens. This has been happening on and off since I moved in.
Noise - The worst experience I have ever had in an apartment. Multiple people playing loud music with their patio doors open. Better still, parties on the patio late at night on work nights. Dogs barking (There are a ton of dog owners here) and NO ONE cleans up after their animals. You don't want to ever walk in the grass in the dark in this complex. Sometimes, it plain stinks. When it rains, the sidewalks flood and guess what washes out of the grass onto the sidewalks. It is pretty nasty.
During the summer, large groups of teenagers tend to gather around the pool, somtimes until the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes they are loud, sometimes not.
I will say the the apartments are large and comfortable. When the three people living in buildings around me are not playing music for the whole complex, it is pretty quiet. It is a great location and the move in specials are very reasonable. Parking is never a problem and I would say it is a reasonably safe property. My only complaint about the parking lot is that my windshield was both cracked and chipped (Two seperate ocassions) in the parking lot, most likely by the weed eaters throwing rocks.
For the money, it isn't a bad deal, if you can deal with the noise and the problems with the dogs and if you don't expect too much in terms of maintenance. Everything works, just don't expect miracles.
As for me, I am just waiting untill the end of my lease.

I FILLED OUT THE APP. FOR AN APT AND IT TOOK THEM 9 DAYS TO RESPOND TO ME. WE HAVE NO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND, NO BROKEN LEASE... NOTHING!!! I CALLED EVERYDAY AND IT WAS ALWAYS SOME EXCUSE WHY THEY HAVEN'T RETURNED MY CALLS. AND EVERYTIME "SHE" WAS SUPPOSE TO CALL ME BACK SHE CONVIENTLY LEFT EARLY!! AFTER WAITING FOR SO LONG SHE CALLED BUT ACTED LIKE IT WAS SUCH A HASSLE TO CALL ME. I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO STAY HERE SO I'M SURE I'LL BE BACK....HEY HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF MARVIN ZINLER...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
