Redbud apts are the pretty little BLUE apts located down from The Timbers Apts and Rolling Brook apts at Hickory and Crosstimbers Drive. Redbud is 5 minutes from SHSU and easy access to I-45. They are all 1 bedrooms and are near Bush-Miller Park. The neighborhood is pretty but lately some partiers have moved into and are messing up a once quiet, idyllic neighborhood. Redbud apts have a big patio sliding window so it gets kinda cold in winter and hot in summer even with air condition and heat turned on. Redbud is perfect for first time renters and college kids but probably not recommended for couples or small families or for people who have a lot of stuff. The bedrooms are small and quaint and there is no bedroom door. Parking is tight and there are no assigned spots. It is not unususal to see people parked in the mud and almost in the street. Basic cable is paid (which doesn't include MTV or BET even VH-1 BUMMER!!!) Normal Park drive is the best way to access 11th street and I-45. I lived there for a couple of years and was an SHSU student. Mostly students and prison guards live at Redbud. I give Redbud a B rating. YOU will love it if u don't get a noisy neighbor.
