This place is a mess. An absolute mess.
The apartments are poorly constructed and have been horribly maintained. Not a single appliance worked properly. Anywhere water could leak from it did. I doubt if the AC window units have been replaced since the day they were put in. Pipes leak and break all the time even after they have been "fixed," contaminating the water with who-knows-what (that said the maintenance staff are fairly nice). The cabinets sag due to moisture; watch out for mold. The place was always humid and smelled like a swamp. The "neighbors" are loud and most were not exactly the type of people you'd bring home to mom (except for me of course...seriously I'm not joking). Plants were growing into the apartment through the windowsill. Laundry facilities are a joke.
Your deposit isnt really a deposit; its more like a donation. Kiss it goodbye the second you write the check. BE SURE TO GIVE THEM NOTICE YOU ARE MOVING OUT AT THE END OF YOUR LEASE; if you dont they fine you. It wasnt hard for me to forget because by the end of my first week there I was counting down the days till that lease expired...and you thought Faust had it bad.
Front office staff is mostly nice but not to be trusted. Their interest is rent and profit, not resident satisfaction.
Depending on which phase you live at, parking is either not a problem or a nightmare.

All said, 18th century French peasants lived better. Do yourself a favor and avoid this God-forsaken hellhole.

I lived there several years ago, and it was pretty disgusting then too. The deposit "donation" is the truth. Once the deposit is given to them, you will not see it again. They gave me some bogus excuse that I left the kitchen dirty. However, I don't cook and I cleaned that place up better than what it looked like when I moved in so I should have gotten nearly all of it back. Additionally, I paid my semester rent up front, but found out - at the end of May - that I owed more for May. By the time I was informed, I also had $70 in late fees. Thanks for the prompt notice. They do not treat residents with respect from my past experiences there, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. It's all about the money they can bring in.
