These apartments had been well taken care of for as old as they are, UNTIL NOW! I cannot believe what they are doing to this place. Painting the outsides, ORANGE, GREEN, AND YELLOW! Are you kidding me' All I can say is "there goes the neighborhood". They will have to reduce the rent once everyone moves out just to get new people in. Every resident I've spoken with has plans to move out! Like the hideous sculptures and the trashy building decor wasn't enough' The only thing this complex had left to offer was the pool, and they can't even keep it open during the summer! So long Barrington, or should I say The Arts'

I moved out in early 08, and I heard then that they had planned to do this. My son has asked me to drive by and see "what they've done" since we moved out... after reading this, I think we may have to drive by and see this. I can't believe they went thru with it. I know the "Art" was embarrassing when i was there. Friends visiting always asked about it. I feel your pain.

I AGREE. Also, you touched on the worst part...they keep raising rent to pay for this hideous destruction of what was a nice place to live.
