Mixed...

I have mixed feelings... It overall was okay... It served a purpose, a roof over my head. But it was very noisy. I had to sleep with earplugs. The apartment was old and even though it was kept up, it still was run down and showed signs of not only wear and tear, but some abuse.

There were too many troublesome kids running around the complex unsupervised. People would throw trash into my patio, which was near a walkway. Once I was coming back from getting mail, and a bunch of policemen were searching around my building--that was a little unnerving. Once a neighbor had his tires slashed.

I had a problem with the commode, and it took three days for someone to come out, and they did (while I was at work) and flooded my entire bathroom and used my bath towels to clean everything up with, and I cam home home to a mess of filthy towels used as rags that I had to clean, and I was not happy at all.

The people upstairs had kids that I guess were jumping off the bed onto the floor (my ceiling) and it shook the walls. They also had a habit of dumping their plant's water over the railing above my door without looking first, and I got hit by dirty water once. Ugh!

Also, they were doing construction and repainting the parking lot while I was there, which was inconvenient, but I could have lived with that if the other problems hadn't been there, too. Also, there were always plumbing problems while I was there, not just with my apartment, but building-wide, 'cause they were having to fix some underlying problem. The water was shut off several times (fortunately, while I was at work).
Nothing happened to me while I was at Valley Oaks. I was fine, but I had a six-month lease, and when the six months was over, I moved to another apartment complex in nearby Bedford which I like much better.
