I currently live here and I am also counting the days until I can leave. I read many of these reviews and anyone who says this is a pleasant place to live must be on the "A" list with the office. I have found the staff here to show Special treatment to some of the tenants, retaliate with lease violations to others, and yes I agree they have no idea what they are doing. When you can get three different responses to the same question, there is a problem. I haven't had a problem getting maintenance to fix anything in my apartment in a timely manner, but they have to return two or three times until it is repaired right. Some days I have more hot water than I can handle, others are lukewarm. They give no warning before they shut your water off for a repair, and yes I have been caught in the shower twice when it happened. A neighbor of mine is handicapped and the carpet cleaning guy pulled up and parked in the handicap spot. When my neighbor asked him to move he began yelling profanities and threats. It was reported to the office and two days later he was seen again cleaning the carpets.
Recently I had two new sets of neighbors move in, and since they are related to someone in the office, they get special treatment. They can blare their radios at all hours (home and car). They can park anywhere, including the middle of the parking lot. They haul a** through the parking lot at about 30 miles per hour and have almost hit a few kids. They sit outside and drink beer, which wouldn't be too bad if they did not throw their bottles wherever they feel like it. I have pulled several pieces of glass out of little kids feet.
When I moved here I expected to go swimming as often as possible, until I found the water was green.
The biggest problem I have had lately has more to do with hurst police department. A few days ago a little girl was molested in these very apartments, yet the office has no information about this, and the police only notified three or four families of this sexual predator in our apartments. Also the other night my neighbors next door were both gone at work, and we heard a loud bang come from their apartment. Since we are close friends we went in there to see what it was. The cover to the attic area of their apartment was broken, half on the floor, and stuff in the bedroom was moved around. Cops were called and came out. 45 minutes later another loud bang was heard from three doors down. Then their dog began to bark. When they went in their attic cover was moved three inches, insulation had fallen on to the floor and three boxes were knocked off the shelf and onto the floor. I then inspected my apartment, while the cops were doing what they do best, and my two kids, 7&8 told me they heard what sounded like stomping coming from the ceiling. This is when we were sure there was someone in our attics, by the way they are all linked and don't have firewalls. But the cops claim that the extreme heat up there caused some sheetrock to come loose and fall. Oh and it happened in two different apartments 45 minutes apart from eachother. Then they left us to deal with this "thing" all on our own.
I have lived in some crappy apartments, but this takes the cake. I have even talked to the management company and they honestly don't care. If this is how you like to live, then come on. If you have any common sense stay as far away from here as possible.
