I'M NOT KIDDING!! When we first moved in, it was about 50 degrees outside. We had to move in with my in-laws for a month because the heater didn't work and they had to order parts, but we still had to pay rent. When we moved back, the maintenance guy was still there and told us we weren't waiting for a part but he had been in JAIL! and they didn't want to hire another handyman to fix it. (seriously) Then, one day we woke up to find water in our kitchen and hallway. We called convic #875674 (aka the handyman) and he re-assured us it was a problem with the dishwasher. He repaired the dishwasher, but the next morning we had more water, but I had not run our dishwasher. They came back and fixed the dishwasher again, but I knew there were sewage pipes in the walls. He told me this was "ridiculous" and it was the dishwasher. After my 2 year old and I spent about 2 months walking around in this water, we were notified that the pipe that lead to the toilet upstairs had broken inside the wall. They decided to "re-pay me for my patience" by showing up at 6am to cut a hole in the wall, and leaving the hole, wiping up the sewage water with my good towels. Regarding the rat...I had complained about roaches many many times. They finally sent somebody out and when they took the AC vent in the ceiling, gigantic rat droppings fell onto the exterminator. I told the office, they said there were no rats. When it came time to move, I cleaned out my walk-in closet and found at least 10 pairs of my panties with holes in them, and my son's house slippers had holes also. Both items were dragged behind luggage and chewed through. DO NO LIVE HERE! We have cardboard boxes we can give you!! The manager I had to deal with got fired for stealing money and doing drugs. As far as other reviewers getting to pick out there carpet, sure if you work in the office you can do that, if not...then you get laminent (sp) flooring. FYI if they are letting you do that now, it may be because of the sewage leak. Also, they kept $50 of my deposit to re-paint!
