So Far, So Good...

I've lived at AMLI at La Villita for 6 months now, and I can say that it has been a great experience so far. The apartments are new and very nice, and is pretty quiet for the most part. I've read some reviews saying how noisy it is, but the noise must be happening somewhere else in the complex because I can't hear it. The walls seem to be pretty thick. I lived next to a couple with a 2 year old child for the first 5 months, and I never once heard them make any noise.
I have not seen any parking problems since I've been here. 9 times out of 10 I will actually get a spot right in front of my building, so I'm not sure where the complaints are coming from.
One thing I do have a problem with is people not picking up after their dogs. I have a dog and it disgusts me when I take him out and I have to watch my step because some people are too lazy to pick up after them. Ultimately, it is a problem with the people who live there, but I wish management would police it a little better. I have seen an maintenence worker cleaning up after people though, just not too often. But it really shouldn't be their job to do that.
All in all, I think some of the complaints that other people have posted on here are pretty petty. I think people have to remind themselves that they live in an apartment complex, so there are always going to be some minor issues. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk

This was posted on the 12th, but when I posted the latest FAKE POSTINGS warning, it removed my previous post. So below is what this post was responding to:
Although apartment living is just that, it amazes me what lengths they go to make people feel degrigated. The office staff and management constantly take every opportunity to make residents feel like deadbeats - whether it is the "gentle reminders" about rent being due despite already having paid it, constant policing of stupid terms in the lease or temporary "violations" of the lease agreement like things out on the balcony. Not to mention the ridiculous lease agreement termination clauses, 60 day renewal requirement, and the high pressure sales tactics used.
Forget assigned parking here. Two cars - good luck. Should you want a covered spot - the $45 extra per month is indicitive of the nickle and diming they love to pull - garage'' try $90 extra a month. So your choices are competing with another complex for parallel street parking, or the limited spots inside the complex.
Noise is indicitive of the construction. The floors are constructed of plywood, so noise is inevitable. The bathroom fans from units above/below can be annoying and are clearly audible. Stairs are attached to the bedroom walls in some units and have no noise abatement joints/mounts.
If you want to be treated with respect and without judgement about why you are living in an apartment (either temporarily or long-term), please choose somewhere else.

I agree with the post above. We pay over 1200 per month to live here and are still treated like losers. The cheaply constructed flooring is loud and unstable, in my unit it is tilted but I have not complained. BUT my dowstairs neighbor takes the opportunity to complain every time she gets a chance. I love my apartment, there is noise sometimes but people have to walk around, give them a break. I keep my place extremely clean, pay on time, and keep complaints and requests to a minimum. I will say Chris has been great. The "ladies" leave a lot to be desired.
