I was sent a renewal letter that had the rent being $271 cheaper if you renew. Well, I call the office to confirm I wanted to renew my rent at this discounted price. I was told, "okay, give the office a day or two to type up the renewal." When I go in to sign the renewal, the rate for the renewal was different than what was on the letter. I was told the information on the letter was incorrect and that the renewal rates are being kept the same of your current rent. Supposedly, there is not any increase or decrease in the rental rates for renewal. But, the renewal rate on the contract was higher than I pay now. The office said, I am not the only tenet that was sent an error calculation for the renewal amount and here is what it is going to be. So, now I am waiting on the manager to review what has happened. To me, this is false advertisement and if you go in a store and a item has been marked with an incorrect price, the customer gets if for the mark price. I was sent a legal document from their office and now they want me to ignore it was ever sent. I have been living here two years now and there really has not been an incentive to stay with regard to the renewal rates. If the manager does not honor what was mailed to me, I will be looking for another place of residence because I can be living in a house for $1460 a month without any new appliances along with the property going down in other ways I will not mention at this time.

You should contact your attorney or TAA and check your options. I believe they have to honor the letter. Good luck, they suck!
