Overall Happy

My husband and I have lived at the Grand Venitian since early 2003 and we have been overall very happy. We got an excellent deal from the leasing consultant when we moved in: a little over $850/month for a 2 bedroom! When we renewed in early '04, our rent went up to $1035, and if we renew again, it'll jump to $1045...and that's only if we sign a year lease. It goes up for shorter leases. We are not renewing our lease this year, mainly because we cannot afford the huge jump in the rent. But there are also a couple of other things that bother us. The parking is horrible. We were on a waiting list for about 3 months before we could get ONE covered parking spot, and even then random people park in it, and there are always moving vans and trucks blocking the spot where you can't get in or out. We've had to park very far away from our apartment several times. Not the end of the world, but it's annoying. I feel very safe in the apartments, there have only been a couple acts of vandalism and theft since we've lived there that we heard about. The gym is very nice and so is the pool. It's always very fun and packed during the summer months. Love the nightly security patrol and the doorstep garbage pickup. I just wish that they could have kept our rent at a reasonable amount and we would have loved to stay.
The staff is always very friendly and helpful and they always answer our service calls within 24 hours - not that we ever have many! I would recommend this apartment complex if you are willing to pay.
