Don't move here

We moved there because it seemed like a nice place to live. The salespeople are very kind when they want you to live there but once you sign the lease problems begin and their faces start to change, they are not kind anymore.
The first problem was with the garbage bags. Garbage bags started to appear in front of our garage. People do not respect the take-out garbage days, and the management doesn't seem to find people responsible for that.
One day we noticed a strong odor coming from the entrance. Somebody had left a rotten garbage bag in front of our door. We complained to the management and it turned out to be the manager herself who put the garbage there. She was going to give us a $25 fine for each bag. She said she put it there because she thought it was us who left it in the wrong place. Even though she apologized for the inconvenience we think that she was extremely rude and doesnt have any manners or appropriate ways to solve problems.
Second problem was with the lease. We asked them what happened if we had to leave before the end of the lease, and they said if we had a good reason they could make an exception and let as leave without having to pay the early termination fee. Well, five months later my wife got a visa-sponsored job 1500 miles away, so we had to leave. We talked to the manager, we explained the situation to her and she said it wasnt a good reason and we had to pay $3,000.00 for the early termination fee. She even threatened us saying that if we didnt pay, our credit history could be affected. We had to sell our car to pay the fee.
Other than that, we can tell you that ants are everywhere, the apartment wasnt clean when we received it, we had smoking pot neighbors, and we received welcome letters advising us to be careful because some apartments were burglarized in previous weeks.

Please, I am a leasing consultant myself, and used to work at Rosemont. There is no way that the staff told you that if you had a good reason to move they would just let you out of your lease with no penalties. That is a legal document, you read it and you signed it, sorry you didn't pay closer attention. This is a great property and if I ever move back to the area I would most definitely rent here.
