My roommate and I call this place the money pit! It s beautiful on the outside and our guest love our home but we quickly warn that any sane person would not want to live here! When we first moved in, we could not get the sofa in and we had to put it over the balcony ourselves (the movers wouldn t do it). The apartment is always hotter than it is in the outside in the summertime and freezing in the winter, with the heat on. The electricity cuts off repeatedly and we have to go to the main breaker outside to reset it. The garage crashed twice. There is never parking due to the foundation issue they have been working on since we moved in. We have severe cracks all over the apartment due to the foundation shifting. They just come and paint over it. We had mold causing my roommate to be sick. Bugs!! I found a baby roach or 2 everyday for a 2 weeks in my bathroom that is upstairs and no where near the kitchen. Ants!! They live in my bathtub spout. I turn on the water and 10 ants go spraying out in my tub. This happened for awhile when I first moved in and has started again now. It happens mostly when people around me move out. The walls are thin. I can hear my neighbor vacuuming at night, which seems to be a daily habit. The list goes on and on. At one point we contacted maintenance at least once a week. The staff is ever changing and ever rude! At the end of our lease they had the nerve to increase our rent. Now our exact apartment is available online for $40 less than what we pay now. I don t get it! We are moving to the newer side of Las Colinas for way less money and a lot more amenities.
One more thing the apartments are getting more ghetto by the day! I grew up in the hood and I worked hard to get out. So this is definitely not a plus!

I couldn't agree with you more on the current price of the apartments. My lease is up the end of June and I can't wait to move out myself. I think the rent is too high here for the quality of living you get. The apartments could use some major renovations for what you pay for them. They recently offered me the same rate if I signed a new lease early. After reviewing the lease, I decided not to sign and return to the office. I got locked out of my apartment one morning during the winter months. My key broke off in the lock when I was trying to lock my front door to take my dog outside. The maintenance man said it happened due to the shift in the building. I also don't like the fact that they can't charge each person for their own water use, and we are required to split the cost with everyone who resides here. I know I don't use the amount they are charging me right now. Three months more left to go and can't wait till June. There was a guy that used to walk out on the balcony and yell at 2-3 o'clock in the morning. I am sure glad he moved out. I've heard they have some changes in the office staff due to them relocating to other offices. Whether that is true or they are fired...who knows for sure??? I would definitely advise not moving here if you don't want to pay extremely high rent. They base the rent price on the length of your lease. For example, the cose of your rent is higher if you sign for 6 months rather than a year. They charge an enormous extra fee if you decide to go month to month at th end. They have this fee of $500 you can pay if you want to make sure you are not responsible for the remainder of your rent in the case of being layed off. I am seeing more and more of the higher end classier people who drive the expensive cars move in here and don't understand that one. The one good thing about this place is you get an attached garage so you can park your car or use as an extra storage space. I believe that is partly why the rent is higher here. I hope I can find a comparable rate to what I was paying in Fort Worth next time around. If you do move here, please be aware and don' say I didn't warn you. Good Luck!!!
