I have lived at Benchmark for 8 months. So far I have had an overall good experience.
Pros: The maintenance staff is swift to respond to problems. The staff is very friendly and accomodating, especially Sandy. I am a business woman who works 8 to 6 most days, therefore when I receive packages, I am unable to pick them up due to the office hours. Sandy was so sweet, she brought my packages to my apt and dropped them off! Very pretty water garden. 2 swimming pools. I haven't had any safety problems, although 1 car got broken into a few months back. Good location - close to 183, 161, 114, and 635 - 4 major Dallas highways. Also 9 minutes from DFW airport.
Cons: I can everything from the apt above me. I can hear every footstep and can sing along to the country music that they listen to. I recommend living on the 3rd floor, if you can stand the inconvience of stairs. This is not the fanciest place to live, but then again the rent is pretty low.

Don't be fooled by the fake positive comments written on this site. We've lived here for six months. During that time the police have come by 5 times to arrest one of our neighbors and the sherrif has come by offering a reward for the capture of one of my neighbers that disapeared a few weeks earlier. Don't be fooled by the fake positive comments written on this site. THE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE WILL BE OF NO HELP TO YOU AND THE MAINTENANCE STAFF WON'T COME BY. Oh they will smile and pretend to write down your issues but there will be NO HELP. CAVEAT IMPTOR..... RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
