i must admit that the new management is very nice and i can tell that ramona (i think thats the managers name) is really making an effort to make things better here. with that being said, i hate benchmark apartments and i am ANXIOUS to move.
parking: i used to have an assigned covered parking space close to my apartment, but a few months ago, (for reasons still unclear to me), they went through and reassigned all the parking spaces. some people stayed the same, but a lot of people got moved VERY far away from the entrances to their apartments.
noise: i have a very noisy neighbor. despite numerous complaints, nothing has been done. i doubt that it has been addressed to this person, because the problem still persists.
grounds: the grounds and landscaping are decent, but people make no effort to pick up after their dogs. just plain nasty.
maintenance: maintenance is okay, but the head maintenance man lives all the way in cedar hill, so if you have an emergency it may take a good hour before anyone comes to help. they have a guy that lives on property, but from what ive seen he may not be available all the time.
interior: this complex needs a major overhaul. the light fixtures are dated, and the paint in the bathroom is gross. whoever painted the apartment must have been very hairy because you can see all these little hairs embedded in and sticking partially out of the paint. ew!

overall, benchmark is okay. they're not quite ghetto yet, but i can see they are well on their way.

Don't be fooled by the fake positive comments written on this site. We've lived here for six months. During that time the police have come by 5 times to arrest one of our neighbors and the sherrif has come by offering a reward for the capture of one of my neighbers that disapeared a few weeks earlier. Don't be fooled by the fake positive comments written on this site. THE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE WILL BE OF NO HELP TO YOU AND THE MAINTENANCE STAFF WON'T COME BY. Oh they will smile and pretend to write down your issues but there will be NO HELP. CAVEAT IMPTOR..... RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
