Live here at your own risk! Management lies about making repairs. The pool hasn't been repaired in years. They advertise about having a whirlpool and they don't have one! Parking is a joke. Assigned parking is far away from the tenants' apartments. It is a green muck. The lawn is well fertilized by dog poop. This place is a roach motel. There have been shootings here. You would have to be blind and not know any better to like this place! Don't even bother with this place! RUN AWAY! RUNAWAY! LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I agree with you whoever you are. When I first lived here I was wondering why people had such bad reviews about this complex but now I can relate and the change of management has made it even worse. Talk about the numerous calls to just get maintenance to show up and complete a simple task, then I agree about the pool not even working since I have been here about a year now. I dont know why I even renewed my lease but when it ends I am definately out of here. I have lived in apartments for years now but never has someone broke into my car, but recently someone broke into my car and I reported it to the manager Anna and she said she would send out a note to warn all residents and I guess that didnt matter to her since it wasnt her car broken into coz I still havent seen any note going out to other tenants. I am definately out of here when my lease ends. All apartments surely have their share of problems, but this here I just cant deal with. I thought I was saving money moving here but I guess you surely get what you pay for, lol. I am moving back to the expensive apartments where I know at least my property and I are safe and where maintenance responds almost immediately. Good luck...

I read some very bad reviews about this apartment complex before considering moving here, but I thought everywhere you go there will be some issues. LISTEN with your eyes and ask around before considering these apartments. I agree also with the two responses. I would advise anyone looking for an apartment that you think you may want to live in to go by the apartment at all times of the days. The office area usually will always look nice, but go through out the apartment complex and look all over. The grounds here at Benchmark are nasty ALL THE TIME. They keep the grounds up around the office only and the rest of the complex is a mess. The trash runs over all the time and when it rains water in the parking lot area is like a swimming pool and around the stairs you have to step in a pool of water to go up stairs to your apartment. Do not mention anything about the Management staff because since I have been here a year there has been now five (5) different Managers. I visited the office two months before my lease was due to renew to see how much my rent would increase and the office staff didn??????t know. I had to speak with the Manager who never got back with me. I got a notice on my door nineteen (19) days before my lease was up stating that your lease will be or has expired and you need to renew. Your rent will increase by $20 period. I contacted the Manager after trying to get her for days and asked why I was just getting the notice 19 days before it was due. She, (Barbie), had just gotten there as Manager and says you got a notice months ago and I wanted prove which she didn??????t know what the ????????????. ??????she was talking about. I asked why did my rent increase by $20 and she says she decided to increase everyone??????s rent across the board by $20. There was no incentive to the tenants to want to stay here just nothing to offer but an increase in your rent. Roaches from day one on my move in date and the lights outside to give you some type of comfort coming and going, the kids break each time they replace them. I just had a large rock from the pond area placed between the tire and front end of my car this pass weekend. The kids are doing some crazy stuff around there. I don??????t feel comfortable there and couldn??????t move when my lease was up because of financial reasons. I am planning now so I will be more than ready to leave by this lease end.
