I moved to Dallas and didn't know anything about the city. Irving was recommended to me. J ellis apt locators listed this as an optioned. I picked it for the price, location (hwy and DFW airport). Plus it has full size WD connection, cable, reserved parking and FP. My apt was GREAT at first. A year later it's like that Christmas toy you wanted that you don't play with now. Time for something new.
PROS If you want something affordable with a few nice perks, this is the place. Management is EXCELLENT. They really try to assist you with anything you need. Thanks Angela. Maintenance is quick and efficient and trustworthy. Pretty quiet here. Visitor parking available if you live on the outer perimeter like I do. I feel safe. Being single and working odd hours that was very important. Had one mouse. (Complex is next to a field). Management took care of it QUICK. No roaches. No ants. They'll spray that day if you have an issue. Emergency maintenance came fast when I had an toilet issue. No problems with theft. Diverse community. FREE gourmet coffee.
CONS
Couldn't get an inside WD with FP on the first floor. That's why I'm moving. No ceiling fans in LR or BR. (Just found out they will install for you if you buy). Blind spots with staircases and front door. SO BEWARE. I know crime happens here. Office staff put out the notices. It happens everywhere, but I don't think you'll end up on episode of first 48. Just use common sense. No icemaker. And I don't care for TWC but why pay for it and another cable service for the same shows' Don't move here if you run alot of electrical equipment. You can feel the electrical surges. You can hear the water running through the pipes. It's just background noise. This is an apt complex and not a stand alone home. Windows and sliding doors a bit drafty for my taste. Electricty bill on a 1bdrm ran around $80. FRONT GATE IS MORE A NUISANCE THAT SAFETY FEATURE.
