We had a rat in our apartment, and we were told we weren't the first. One of the buildings burned down--they would never tell anyone why, but the place seemed to have electrical problems. One night there were gunshots, but they caught the guy--that wasn't the fault of the apartments...I will say though that security was a joke. Nobody was manning the "guard booth", and people drove right through the wooden traffic flags. They were broken every morning. Finally, there were always ducks swimming in the pool. Other than that, the place has very nice landscaping and the floor plans offer a lot of space. Also, as they say, they offer a "Las Colinas address", for what that's worth. Staff was never all that helpful, and in the end, they will find a way to keep your deposit. This was several years ago--maybe it has gotten better, but we were relieved to get out of there in the end.

I just wanted to say that the gunshots you heard were the rats being exterminated. ducks in the pool isn't a bad thing, are you a duck hater? as far as the fires go, sure the place is always ablaze, however you can always check with the fire department or police to get a lowdown on what actually happened.
