THIS PLACE SUCKS I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR 7 MONTHS WHEN I MOVED IN THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEFT AND CARS BEING BROKE INTO. IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS THERE HAS BEN 15 CARS BROKE IN TO 5 OF WHICH WERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY APARTMENT, I ALSO "HAD" A TOP OF THE LINE WEBER CHARCOAL GRILL THAT WAS STOLEN TODAY FROM RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY APARTMENT. ALSO YOU WILL HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR THRASH PICK UP AND THEY WILL CHARGE YOU $10 FOR THEM TO PICK UP 3 TIMES A WEEK BUT IT REALLY HAPPENS ABOUT ONCE A MONTH AFTER YOU CALL THEM TO COMPLAIN. THE FAUCETS LEAK, THE SHOWERS DRIP. THERE IS MOLD IN THE APARTMENT AND DONT BOTHER CALLING TO COMPLAIN THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND ABOUT HOW THERES NOTHING THEY CAN DO. PRETTY MUCH ONCE YOU SIGN THE DOTTED LINE THE GOT YOU BY THE BALLS AND THE ONLY WAY OUT IS TO JOIN THE MILITARY OR DIE. SO SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TIME, MONEY, AND BS AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

It's all true, folks. Don't forget to mention the bad smell in most units. Mold or old cigs. Who knows? But look down the street before you sign that dotted line. The gates don't work, they'll tell you it's because of city codes but nearby apts. all have gates that work, why would only one place be told to leave the gates open? These people lie. Also, look for your rent to go up at least $50 the first year if you re-sign. They'll tell you the rate you get will hold, but get 'em to put it in writing or expect a giant increase. Trash always overflowing, too. They tell me an Irving cop is security here but you'd never know it by the drug deals happening in the parking lot every day.

I am currently a resident of Chaparral Creek Apartments. My husband and I along with our 5 year old moved in here about 16 months ago. We chose this property because, mainly of the location to our work. We are a Christian family who work very hard for all the things we have. I say all this because we noticed in the past 2 months strange things going on around our building (i.e. people needlessly loitering, underage drinking at the pool... at 2:00pm on a Monday, etc.)so we schedule time to meet with the assistant manager of the property to which we were assured nothing is wrong. In the past 3 days, however, I have now become fear full of being at my apartment alone, with our son. I constantly have people commenting on my new car, how I am dressed and even my wedding ring!! Complete strangers that see me in the parking lot!! So, in light of all of this, and so much more, my husband (who is also an attorney) will be meeting with the manager tomorrow to break our lease. My advice, look somewhere else. Oh and by the way, I spoke with the on duty Irving cop, he just got out of the academy 3 months ago.
