I rented this apartment originally because it was in a nice area, and it was one of the less expensive places at the time. Well, as I came to find out, you get what you pay for. Once I was actually in the apartment, I had a small problem with the paint on the walls (there were scuff marks everywhere that I thought should have been painted over). After 3 days of headache they gave me a paint can and said I could fix it if I wanted to.



I came home once after being on the road for 3 weeks to find a gaping hole in my bathroom wall, went down and complained (they said they would fix it), came home three weeks later, there was still a hole in my bathroom wall.



My tub has been refinished twice and is peeling again.



My fridge/freezer has been broken for 4 months (they?ve been up twice to "fix" it and insist there is nothing wrong). I have to buy milk each day I want to drink it because it is bad by the next morning.



I haven?t had a hot water knob in my bathroom for a year and a half because the first time they "fixed" it, they used the same threadbare screw I told them not to use and the second time they put in a screw that was too big and the cheap little plastic knob broke in half.



For the past 2 years, the water has been turned off in the complex at least 3 days a month for "repairs".



The office personnel are the least helpful and most disrespectful people you will ever meet. They do not offer to help in any situation or ask what they can do to make things better. Once you?re in, they treat you like crap. My lease was coming up the last time and i had yet to receive anything about lease renewal. I haad to go down to the office on 4 separate occasions and finally rant until they gave me dirty looks and unwillfully pulled my file (and then "Your lease was up a month ago!"). Also, they are supposed to be open until 5 on Sundays, my new apartment complex tried to contact them 6 times after 3:30 and got nothing but the answering machine.



I could continue, but I think I?ve made my point.



I have only lived here for so long because the 2 times my lease has been up I have been traveling for my job and have not been able to move. Thank God I am finally leaving this hole.
