Where to begin. After numerous complaints about upstairs apartment leaking through ceiling into my apartment (in several places), they finally moved me to another apartment at my own expense (moving and phone relocation). The ceiling actually fell through in a couple of places and flooded my apartment. The apartment I moved into flooded from the outside every time it rained. After writing the health department they came in and replaced the carpet (twice), but it still ruined lots of my clothes and a computer. As for the grounds, there was always trash everywhere, and huge water puddles full of mosquitoes as the drains were always clogged up in the yard. Sprinklers ran 24x7 (rain or shine) on the sidewalk (never on the grass) to soak you whether you were carrying groceries or moving. In the end, the deposit was non-refundable though I cleaned my apartment thoroughly upon moving out. Theyll cheat you for every dime they can, so read your lease very carefully. I think most one bedroom apartments also had about 1000 people living (or visiting wink-wink) in them. And when people walked in their apartment, it sounded like they were in your apartment. Worst was the way everyone competed to see who could play their music louder. One favorite occupation of tenants was to sit in their car and play their music as loud as they could (often after midnight).
