I have lived in some pretty bad apartments. In one apartment my ceiling was running water (lierally) in 4 areas of one of my apartments for a whole week! I had a great experience at this apartment complex. Granted not everything is perfect all the time. I did feel that after we signed our contract some of the people up front weren't as nice, so i just made sure to always talk to the friendly ones about any questions I had. Parking was horrible if you didn't have a garage(we did) or a car port. Parking was usually full by like 9 o'clock. The sinks did have a funky smell, for a long time I thought it was my cleaning. To get rid of it, every morning I just poured some bleach in the sink and it really helped out. Our apartment wasn't that bad with noise, I mean we lived near the pool and you could hear the kids and all, but that is like anywhere, it is apartment living. We seemed to freeze out our AC a couple of times and the maintance people always came 30 minutes after our call. Bugs were never a probably except for the water bugs that came out of the bath tub drain when it rained. That only happened like 4 times out of us living there 10 months. Our applicances worked fine, and our AC bill was nothing to crazy. We really enjoyed living on the first floor but with garden level below us. We felt really safe becaus ethe only way in and out was through the front door or garage. And we only used the garage door and kept teh front door dead bolted. I would give them a 7 out of 10. Nothing goes perfect in apartments, just keep that in mind.
