Not worth the money

I moved here four months ago and have been very disappointed since. I live on the first floor, and there are geckos in the balcony, storage room, and the attached garage.
The office staff is not friendly at all. If you just want to go and drop off your rent check and get a receipt, good luck! If they have prospective tenants at their desk, you will be waiting a good 20-25 minutes for them to acknowledge you and help you out.
There is NO ceiling fan in the living room, so you must buy your own and either install it yourself or pay $25 to have someone come by and install it for you. It's the most ridiculous thing ever. This is texas, and it's damn hot, and I have never seen or heard of any apartment complex not providing a damn ceiling fan. I was mesmerized by the kitchen layout when I was viewing the apartment, hence I didn't even notice the missing fan in the model home, since I assumed all apartments come with a ceiling fan. The kitchen stove only has 1 big burner which is a big bummer for those who like to cook a lot. The island in the kitchen is a bonus as you get extra storage space under it, and a large countertop space.
The second month, I got a notice on my door saying I will be locked out of my apartment in 4 days if I didn't pay my rent, and I have to pay an extra $100 something I think for late fee. I paid my rent on the 1st, so I was very angry to receive such a ridiculous notice. I left a voicemail at the leasing office, and no one called me back. After two days of waiting, I scanned all the pages and emailed the regional manager asking for an explanation. Well, after some research on his part, he told me he was sorry, and had the leasing office manager write a personal apology letter to me.
The parking here is horrible. I am lucky to have a garage, but if I have visitors, they have to park quite far. The laundry facility is not in walking distance for most tenants, so if you drive your laundry over, there is no designated parking spot or any free parking, so you must either park in someone's driveway, park in the handicapped parking spot, or park in someone's reserved spot. The dryers and washers seem to eat up the funds in your electronic payment card sometimes, which is quite a hassle.
The upstairs neighbors are LOUD no matter if it's 4 am or 4 pm, there is constant noise
There is a cool draft that comes from the windows which requires you to turn up the thermostat. I just got my electricity bill today, and its $270 for one bedroom. Yikeeeeees!
All in all, I am counting down days(another 150 or so) till I move out of here.
