A very bad experience

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2002
I lived at Estrada Oaks for two years. I had lived out my lease when my mother died in 2002. I gave 30 days notice (written) to management, explaining that my mother had died (in the apartment) and that I had inherited her 2 dogs and had to move. FOUR DAYS before the move, they called me stating my notice was insufficient and that I'd have to stay two months. When I told them it was impossible, they told me I had to pay 2 months rent, even though I lived out my lease. Bottom line: they put it on my credit report. VERY BAD FORM.
