We moved in here several years ago because the complex had pretty inexpensive rent, large open floor plans, huge closets, and came with a washer and dryer in a separate laundry room. These are all good things, BUT the management is HORRIBLE. The complex recently was bought, and the new managers talk about how they are going to make things better, but so far they have not been able to actually fix anything. The only difference is now they act like they care, when before they wouldn't even pretend. Under no circumstances should you move into the 1408 Building. I know of at least 3 people who moved out because of the roach problem. I have heard that the problem is not just in this building but I can tell you that we have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of these roaches that we've had for about a year and nothing works. The problem started when one of our neighbors moved out, they had a dog and never took it out so it pooped all over the house. I heard there were bags of dog and human feces all over the apartment when they moved out. The cleaning crew had to wear masks, it smelled so bad. They can't get the smell out, that unit is still vacant and being used to store refrigerators and dishwashers. On a good day I see about 10 roaches a day, on a bad day I can see 30 or more at one time. They are everywhere, in our dishes, sink, every room of the apt. And I keep our apt very clean, I sweep and wash the floor every day and vacuum under the table after EVERY MEAL. They even had someone move into one of the units that people moved out of because of roaches, and the new people moved out within days of moving in because they had roach problems too. If you insist on living here at least talk to some of your prospective neighbors and ask them if they are having roach problems. If they say yes, DO NOT LIVE HERE!!
