I have lived at Foxborough for almost 2 years and to be honest, the complex is okay if you don't mind pretty cheap rent for a decent place to live. It's definitely not the best, but it'll get you by for a while.

However, these apts have gone completely downhill since the new management took over at the beginning of 2006 I believe. It started with them painting the buildings an ugly mustard-yellow color (they were a pretty pale green before)...and painting bright white trim and bright red doors! Had I known they were going to do that before I renewed my lease last year, I would have moved for that reason alone. Anyhow, prior to the mgmt change, I never had problems getting maintenance issues fixed, but nowadays, I have to put in each maintenance request at least 3 times before they even bother to attempt to take care of it. And every time I put in the request again, they make up some excuse as to what happened to my original request. Ridiculous. Thank God I've never had major issues with appliances or anything.

Second major issue is that the office staff refuse to help you over the phone. The majority of the time, they have their phones set to this recording in which you can only leave a message. And there's no point in leaving a message because they do not call you back, no matter how important the issue. And even when you finally get someone to answer, usually their response is that you have to talk to Ary. I've never had any problems with Ary, but it seems that the other staff members could help you with problems too, surely Ary isn't the only person in the office who knows how to do anything!

Third problem is that crime is a huge problem in this complex. I live at the back of the complex, and last year, the apt below me was broken into at 7:30 in the morning. Makes me feel really safe seeing as how I'm a female. There have been several evenings that I have been afraid to leave my apt or get out of my car late at night to even walk up to my apt because there are large groups of black guys lingering. I have nothing against black people, but when I'm a white girl living alone and I can't even get groceries out of my car in the middle of the afternoon because you have groups of guys approaching you...not a pleasant feeling. There have also been several break-ins and I've seen 3 different cars with their wheels missing, sitting up on blocks the next morning. If you have a Honda, watch out, seriously.

I think the major thing with this complex that really makes them disappointing is the office staff. They are difficult to work with and then when I turned in my move-out notice, they questioned me on why I wanted to move! Uhhhh because y'all don't have enough brains to run this place! And to be honest, I have nothing ill to say about the maintenance men themselves...I think part of their problem is that the office staff cannot seem to convey to the maintenenace staff exactly what a tenant's problem may be! You can't fault them for not knowing what needs to be fixed if the people in the office can't even write down your request properly!

Oh one other problem, the noise is a major issue to me. If I can hear all 3 of my neighbor's stereos at the same time, that's a problem! I usually have to write pretty little notes and tell them to please turn down their radio. But of course it doesn't help. I usually sleep with my tv on just to drown out the sound of everyone's bass. That's pretty sad.

As you know when deciding to rehab any community that in itself is a major task - while we were not able to get the approval of a majority of the residents. I would dare to say that more than the majority is happy with the new improvements that we have made at Foxborough. Not only did we do new paint jobs - we completely remodeled the fitness center added a business center and a aerobics/movie theater room. Inside the apt homes we have also revamped the entire apartments. Please note one HUGE incentitive to living at Foxborough is that we offer full size washer and dryers in EVERY unit. With every maint. request we have 48 service guarantee as long as every request is given to us in writting. Our office is open 7days a week and we are always available for our residents and prospects. When looking for a new home we hope you keep Foxboroughin mind.
