Gardends of Valley Ranch is a large complex with a very wide variance of people living there. I am a 23 year old single male that made the decision to live here instead of downtown Dallas due to the proximity to my job.

The community was quiet 95% of the time when I was there, when it wasn't quiet it was during the day on weekends. The 2 pools were nice but were always full of little kids or kids from the local community that would sneak in. The management staff was nice, but not great (They waived my first late rent fee because I was traveling for work and couldn't pay). The only matience problem I had was taken care of in less than 24 hours. All units come with cable which was a huge plus. One other thing to note is that they don't seem to police parking at all, which is fine because there are plenty of spots. I had friends park there car in the complex for over a week when traveling without any problems.

I can't really say anything terrible about the complex, other than they decided to renovate the laundry room without notifying anyone, causing me to have to find somewhere else to do my laundry for a month.

If you have children this complex is very close to local schools and many families with children in this complex simply walk them to school. Good location to resturaunts and shopping.

So do you work there?? Did you live there under the current management??? There was ONE nice person in the office when I left there. One of the other people was a red-headed witch who had no problem lying to your face about things. Glad they waived your late fee; I was a resident there for 5 years and NEVER late with rent. Asked to be late one month (by 1 day) and they told me it would cost me $50 extra and that "we can't do that for one person without doing it for everybody". Obviously you must be a really cute single guy who got the hormones raging in the office so they waived yours!! I have a Big Gulp sized cup of water and ice thrown at me in the parking lot one night from a passing car as I was coming back from taking out my trash. The alarm system outside my apartment (which served the whole building) went unrepaired for 6 months; I finally started sleeping in the living room because all I could see/hear in my bedroom at night was the alarm and a flashing red light. Believe me, they didn't break their necks to get that fixed. It took them 2.5 months to replace the glass shelf in my refrigerator. I could go on and on, but what's the point. They're Beavis' partners in that office and obviously don't give a flying squirrel about their tenants or tenants' problems. It's been that way ever since the new "owner" took over. BTW, I could never even find out who the manager was and whoever it was (or wasn't) was always "out", "on the other line", "busy with someone else", etc., etc., blah, blah, blah!!

I never worked there and in all honesty was disappointed with my apartment choice when moving to the Dallas area. Maininly because I found some better deals there and would have rather lived closer to the city. I tried to be objective in my review because it seems a lot of people here are very angry. What served me well is whenever I had an issue I went straight to the office and spoke with the property manager everytime. The Leasing agent that I had also took pretty good care of me, I guess I was lucky that she lived in the same unit as me. Whenever I had issues I would always ask her before speaking with the property manager. I also didn't spend much time there on the weekends, and since I only lived there for 4 months I must have missed a lot of the other problems that people seem to be having. One comment that I didn't include in the review is that I had to "buyout" my lease due to my company relocating me. My company took care of the payments (which were outlandish) but the management was difficult about it to say the least. It took 3 different phone calls from my company's accounting department just to get an amount to write the check for. Then they claimed there were damages to my apartment that I had to pay for (I got this setteled with some arguing so I didn't have to pay anything. I didn't feel the need to include that part because people rarely buy out there leases. Hope that sheds a little more light on my review
