Great apartment

I have lived in this apartment for 3 years and renewed my lease again. It's an excellent value in Valley Ranch -- it's safe, nice, and doesn't cost as much as the other apartments nearby. Obviously, I'm happy here. Why' Because I live close to the leasing office. The landscaping is always kept nicest close to the leasing office to impress potential residents. Also, I've always found the staff to do a good job fixing things in my apartment without any hassle. I must have called them over 50 times since I've been there, and they've been fine. They've never blamed any problems on me, they just fix whatever the problem is -- no hassle. They hold my packages for me when they're delivered, and all-in-all it's a really good place. I think the people who complain are probably breaking the rules or paying their rent late or something like that, and they're just angry about the apartment enforcing the rules. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

I lived there for 4 (no, 5) years, 3.75 under AMLI (which I LOVED) and then the Gardens group and I, too, had nightmares about the service. The office staff with the exception of one very sweet blond girl whose name evades me presently, sucked. The "ladybird" was the worst. She lied to me on at least 2 occasions. I had trouble getting things fixed...things that were not only important to me but to the entire building, i.e., fire alarm system which was on the blink for more than 6 months...believe me, it's true...the light (blinking) and beeper were both just outside my bedroom window and it was exasperating to the point that I could no longer sleep in the master. Took ages to get things replaced that needed replaced, i.e., a refrigerator shelf!! My sink was haphazardly put in and always leaked around the edges (the hole was cut too large for the sink). It was always something. After Katrina, I had moved around to the side away from the office and was near the fence. Not a good move. Loud music all the time, had things thrown at me from passing cars from other complex, had a used condom thrown on my car, someone threw rocks at my door and had the police out on numerous occasions and all I ever got from the office was a wimpy, "oh, sorry". The place went straight to you-know-where in a handbag when AMLI left. There are plenty of other nice places in VR and places that are just as affordable where you don't have to put up with that mess.

This is obviously an apartment employee writing this review. I lived here 2 years without a single late payment / rule violation and when I attempted to get them to fix the mantle that fell off my wall they took over 6 months and then blamed me for it and tried to charge me for it when I moved out. This place is a nightmare, avoid at all cost. Go down to MacArthur Ridge, they're only about $10-20 more expensive each month, are nice apartments, and the staff is not incompetent and bitter that they didn't go to college in order to secure a real job.

You are posting anonymous, so you might have something to hide. Also, I notice that you have lived here for 2 years, which means you have renewed your lease once or twice. If you were so miserable, why did you renew? I have to wonder about your post also because they've always fixed my stuff fast, and even tightened my mantle because it was a little loose - no hassle. I agree that the staff are not necessarily college graduates, but it doesn't take a lot of expertise to enter work orders into the computer for residents, accept packages, and fill out lease forms. Again, I live near the leasing office, so maybe that helps me get faster service, but if I were an apartment employee, why on earth would I say I live near the leasing office? I am not an employee of any apartment and never have been. -- the following I added in response to other comments -- You guys are hilarious. You think that I'm an employee of the apartment even though I agree with you that service is better closer to the leasing office and maybe worse on the other side? What a laugh. If you want to live here, just choose an apartment close to the leasing office. |

I am also posting anonymously because I don't need any more hassels in my life. I lived there 5 months (even though I had a 7 month lease) and had to leave, even before my lease was up because of the unhealthly situation. Holding packages is a benefit with all apartments, so that in itself is no biggy. That place SUCKED, stay away at all costs.

I concur that I feel this to be an apartment employee writing this review. I lived there for a good amount of time, and renewed my lease several times with the Amli group. I renewed my lease 1 time under the Gardens group and it was a nightmare. Service issues, major issues upon move out, and just a total lack of customer service from the office staff.
As for the comment that those who would post must be doing something wrong, I have to take major offense to this. I have never been late in my rent payments, and I am a good neighbor. I have never had a noise complaint, complaint from the office, or any issues in regards to living in the complex. For the most part, I avoided the office if at all possible because every interaction with them was a hassle. So what they allowed packages to be dropped off there, every complex does this. And I guess I just got crappy service because I lived on the other side of the complex away from the office. It should not matter where I lived on the complex, the service should have been the same. Ohh, and nevermind that I paid for the larger sized apartment, and thus provided more revenue to complex.
Avoid this complex at all costs... they are cheats and swindlers and you will have nothing but bad service.
