This apartment complex has turned very profitable for the auto-theft people. There is not a month that goes by when there has not been a vehicle that is broken into.
Lack of any gates, when all apartments around the park have gates allows thieves to enter the apartment complex at will and rob or vandalize any vehicle of their choice.
Be warned, do not rent here if you want to avoid any additional expenses, especially with increasing rates of vehicle-related thefts in Texas.

Gates don't make a difference. The other complexes around here have just as many, if not more break ins. Don't blame the management-blame the federal government for allowing section 8 housing in the area.

One of the many ways to be safer in an apartment community is to KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS! That's a challenge at JP as they have some type of agreement w/Verizon (perhaps other companies in Las Colinas, but Verizon I know for sure) for short term leases. Difficult to get friendly with neighbors when they remain aloof & don't stay here long. Anyway, I've called their Night Security & 911 when I've observed suspicious activity or heard car alarms go off continuously. Better be safe than sorry when reporting possible criminal mischief. Management will not admit to theft/car break-ins, so we have to police ourselves.

Looks like the office staff is very proactive in turning the blame away from themselves. All resonses have been from the same two people. If they time spent in reading the complaints is used for the betterment of the complex, it would be less prone to receiving complaints. KNOW YOUR FACTS OFFICE STAFF. ALL APARTMENTS AROUND YOUR COMPLEX HAVE GATES. AND CRIME HAS DECREASED OVER 100% IN THOSE APARTMENTS. I guess fleecing residents is the way to go for JP.
