Sad to be leaving :(

I've lived here for two years and despite the normal problems that come with living in an apt (neighbors wearing bricks on their feet and no parking), I really like it. I just can't afford the rent increases. It will soon be $810 for a 701 sq ft one-bedroom.

As far as the noise, I wouldn't classify the walls as super-thin. I think it's a case of my neighbors being super-loud. If you get the right person's ear in management, they will nip the noisy neighbor BS in the bud.

My apartment is quite lovely on the inside. I like the crown molding and the fancy ceilings (I forget what you call it when the ceilings have indentations and different levels - it's a 'C' word). The appliances are average, but everything is functional and in tip-top shape. They've got built-in shelves in the living rooms and nice counter-tops in the kitchen.

The electricity bill is hella high, but the water is never more than ten bucks. In the summer electricity can be as low as $64, but as high as $170 in the winter.

I am in awe of their maintenance people. If you call them one day, they show up at 8:00am the next day ready to work (which can be a nuisance if you sleep late, lol). No request is too small. If it's a battery or a light bulb you need - they show up with an array of choices tucked under their arms. Little stuff like that makes it hard to part with this place.

All of the sockets and switches work - and there are plenty of them. I've got eight sets of sockets in my living room. That's a lot, right' Again, it's the little things.

The post about the ongoing upkeep is TRUE! Management is always doing something incredibly aggravating, but necessary to maintain the appearance. This week it's power-washing and repainting the parking stripes.

I haven't seen any major bugs. Spiders are here because I see their webs (luckily, not the spiders), but no cockroaches. I haven't even seen them on the outside of the buildings. A few centipedes make it in during the summer, though. But they're easy to kill :)

The office people are a little too young and flaky, but the property manager is awesome and will handle your issue PERSONALLY if necessary.

Knightsbridge would be perfect if they had more parking. The parking has got to be the worst in the area. Definitely Top Five Worst Apts for parking.

I love it and dont want to leave. Damned inflation.
