Great place to live

I had a really cute little apartment facing the canal that runs along one side of the property. I did pay a bit extra for the view, but the rent was still quite reasonable, due to an awesome move-in special (1 month free, $500 look and lease... on a six-month lease!) I looked all over the Valley Ranch/Las Colinas area, and this worked out to be one of the best deals.
The small 1-bedroom floor plan is awesome, huge windows in the living/dining area that bring in lots of light. I was lucky that my only "neighbor" was a garage, so noise was never a problem, but I did have an upstairs neighbor who I did not hear once in my 1 year living there. No big bug problems either, despite being on the first floor next to the canal.
There is a nice jogging trail that runs along the canal, which I really enjoyed. I had a couple of routes of varying length, all the way up to a 6 mile route. I also found some nice biking routes in the area. I always felt very safe in the area, even as a single woman.
Management was awesome. They all knew my name and were very friendly, no matter what I needed.
The location is quite convenient to the restaurants and shops of Las Colinas, Valley Ranch, and Coppell, but it's on a quiet back street so you don't have the noise and traffic of one of the complexes that's right on Macarthur Blvd.
I would absolutely live here again!
