I've lived here for a few months now. I've read all the reviews before living here. This place is okay, but with a few problems. No one is perfect. The office is filled with attractive ladies which brings a smile to my face every time I go in there. The pool is very nice setting. I love grilling and throwing bbq parties for my friends when they come over. My apartment is nice too. However, the piping is a bit noisy. When my upstairs neighbor flushes, I would hear it as well as her walking with high heels in the morning. But I don't mind it... It gets me up for work in the mornings when I forget to set my alarm. I love bringing people over to this apartment because it stands out from other apartments and they're all impressed. The canal view is cool. I like the small lake/pond nearby to go running and for strolls. Maintenance is normal- two days to get in taken care of. They replace all bulbs for the apartment which I thought was cool. Nicer amenities than the Lincoln La Villita next door. I heard that place sucks.
Problems, of course there are a few. When I first moved in, there weren't lights attached to the ceiling fans which I didn't mind. However, after a month passed, all of sudden I noticed lights attached to the ceiling fans!' I asked the front ladies about it and they went in the apartments and installed the lights. Now, I have a problem with this. I don't like when people enter my household without me knowing... at least leave a note! This drove me nuts and if it happens again I will have to do something about it. Also, I had a mouse problem. My roommate went nuts about it, but it was a tiny cute mouse... too bad I had to snap its neck with a trap. They should do something about the rodent problem. I've seen bigger mice running around the parking lot at night (a dead-flattened mouse as well). A small turtle took a nice stroll at night on the street as well. I thought that was funny. Also when my car was getting fixed by a mechanic, he was saying that something small "like a mouse" was chewing on my air conditioning wires. hmmmmm. This is a new development, and we're taking over the critters' territory. I don't mind killing a few spiders... or twenty.
