great apt, terrible maintenance

I love the location of my apartment. I love the apartment design. The office staff have always been very professional & friendly. They always agree to have maintenance fix things, but somewhere between talking to the office staff & getting things actually done everything goes wrong. My neighbors are wonderful. The maintenance on the other hand is a different story. They will come out to see reported problems....eventually and sometimes only after several phone calls. They can't seem to fix anything correctly. We, and several other people, have pigeons living in our ceiling. The apartment refuses to do anything about it. We have a hole in our wall, which has been there since we moved in. It was reported when we moved in (3 months ago) and has yet to be fixed. We have had water dripping from our ceiling for about 3 weeks now. Maintenance has 'fixed' it 2 or 3 times now, but has never actually truely fixed it. I'm going to check with Texas Apartment Association and see if there's anything they can do about it since talking to our apartment staff about it is obviously pointless. We also have had problems with bugs. The apartment staff told me that they would send exterminators out, but they never came by. We had to handle it ourselfs. The dumpsters tend to be overflown w/trash which looks bad. Other than the terrible, practically non-existant maintenance, the apartments are great.
