This used to be a great property and was in a nice quiet neighborhood....a hidden gem in Irving........the rates were terrific for the square footage.....then the new manager took over.......what a total -----.......She would act nice as pie when you moved in but when you decided to move out, she would keep your entire deposit.......she would go into your apartment without your permission to show your apartment......she would enter your apartment and leave little notes such as she liked your furnishings.....her kids lived on the property and were loud and noisey, she lied to other residents about you when you decided to move; she charged a maid cleaning fee, which was fictitious, because the money she billed for went right back to her, because one of her kids did the cleaning........I had ac problems and she kept making excuses, telling me that it was freezing up, to get a window unit, to buy a fan, but when someone new moved in, she would replace their unit right away, she would call me late at night to just talk........she refused to fix the pool and had a water hose running into it just to keep it full, she ran off all the maintenance, she called and harrassed people when they decided to move.....she is known in the area, to other complexes and apartment locators as a horrible manager, raising rent to an outrageous amount, she always said it was market rent........what market, the nearest complex is actually townhomes.........she was trying to charge the same rent.........HELLO, big difference.......
The good news is, I just heard the manager finally got fired!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about that. I lived there in 2000-2001 and had a wonderful manager that ran a tight ship and it was a quiet nice community; great for the price. wonder how it is now that this one got fired??? looking to move back to dallas and considered it but concerned about management these days.

Did you end up moving there montego2000? Anyone know how things are now 9/06? Is it really 'quiet' living so close to the airport?

I am a current resident at Montego Bay. The last manager was CRAZY!!!!! The manager we have now is a blessing! She is great! Maint. is okay. Overall, it's nice and quiet.

i,m looking for a place to stay in irving. how is this place right now???? what about bugs, spiders ,rats etc here?????also how is the plumbing and all. heard many toilets and bathroms fill up. is the maintainenece 24 hr. what about security???

The place is not bad, there are some bug issues. There is another new manager - she came in 2007. She is fairly nice and ususally very responsive to issues and maint is ok. However, if you want a pool - it's not going to happen. There is a nice pool area, but it has not been maintained since 2005 and is not ideal for swimming. Apt rates are good, and the neighbors are nice.

Okay renters beware. The mgr that's here now is nice at first but things change quickly. She's very charming at first but be late on your rent or better than that make a lot of needed work orders and watch Dr Jeckel and Mr Hyde unfold. If you want peace from the mgr this ain't the place. Upstairs apartments creek real bad, waterbugs are bad at times, my bathroom sink which we no longer use smells like sewage no lie,the apts shift so your front door will be off slightly from the frame and you can see outside while the door is closed,and when it rained with heavy wind water come in thru my front door. And because it has a storm cover at the bottom they tell you well I don't see how that could happen because of the cover. Next time it rains call her so she can come look as if we are lying. And I live in a newer model! She comes to my door to collect rent on the 2nd attitude and all when they give you to the 4th. There's a tenant who lives above the office when I was in the office one day and she stated that she wasn't going to renew her lease because the floor squeaked very bad when she walked. She said it drove her crazy. I thought then that she was crazy and unfair. She will say one thing and then she'll say something else. Don't believe it then rent there you will see. She also stated that people here hardly ever have work orders well I can speak for me in 2 months I have had 8 workorders and 3 for the same thing. Yes my family and I moved in July 09 and yes were moving Oct 09. Gotta go it's not worth the trouble. If you can deal with people like her then maybe you'll be okay. If you don't have a high tollerance for ignorance MOVE AND DON'T MOVE IN. Ps she lives on property too now!!!
