I have lived here for almost a year and I am transferring to a 2 bed/2 bath in a few weeks. There are a few good and a few bad points to the Oaks. One thing is the noise. I hear everything my neighbors are doing. I don't have to set my alarm in the mornings because my neighbors wakes me up on time. I can also hear every step they take. Another thing is the assigned parking. My spot is close to 50 yards away from my apartment. I have to hike to my car everyday. Another bad point is that they refused to let me see the apartment when I moved in. Now this was when Post owned the property. When I moved in it wasn't at all what I expected. I found out later that there are two phases. Phase 1 has all old apliances, carpet, paint....everything. And it had a horrid smell. Phase 2 has all updated appliances and that area of the complex is MUCH nicer. So be aware of that when looking. But for the good points. It is in a great locaation. The new Oaks staff seems to be nice. It has two great pools and a great view of the river. Rent is reasonable and they run good specials. All in all I would reccomend living here if you are in the new phase. I would stay away from phase 1...they need to be updated.
