Okay I've read all the reviews good and bad. I was a long term resident at the Oaks from 1986-2004 and loved every minute of it. I moved only because I lost my job.
I miss the apartment layouts, square footage, the closet space (no were in Dallas will you find closet space like that), the trees, the neighbors and the office staff.
Yes, living in an apartment does have it's ups and downs. Good times and bad but that's apartment life. Yes, there were problems mostly coming from external folks that used our facilities.
It's true the complex does need to see some renovation in the kitchens and bathrooms. While I can guarantee I never observed any avocado appliances the ones that are there are past their prime. If Aetna Insurnace still owns the place it's time they invest in some upgrades that would drive additional revenue. They need to spend money to make money.
Lincoln properties manage it and their hands are tied to some degree but the owners.
There are other apartments in Valley Ranch I've looked and toured all of them and for the space, money and environment the Oaks wins hands down for the price.
It's a wonderful place to live and if I had to do it all over again I would not have moved.
