I have lived at the Oaks for 3 years. I loved it because of the grown trees and nice neighbors and clean areas. The management has changed twice I believe and I have never really had a bad time with the office. Yes, we recieved the letters as the people below have said and I did read carefully and understood. However, yes you can "renew" for an $85 increase but for only 6-8 months so how you can renew twice in that time doesnt make much since to me as the other resident stated. Also, you can move into a "remodeled" apt but you pay your transfer fees along with $80-100 more per month tacked on. They are changing the lighting and appliances and wooden blinds...big deal! During this process of "renovating", it has been awful dealing with the workers they have doing the jobs. They come on your porch without you even knowing or being told. They say we are to recieve a 24hr warning if anything will be done near or to our apt and I have yet to recieve ONE notice. I have only recieved the notice about water being shut off which seemed like everyday at one point. They are allowing anyone to move in now...almost feels like a section 8 housing district. I no longer feel safe as people just walk around all hours of the night and across the street to another set of apartments (which house alot of riff raff as well) There are at least 2 section 8s very close to this property if they have not become one as well. As for me and my house....we are moving and glad about it!

You have misunderstood the letters sent to your door. I have recieved them too and no where does it say that a renewal will be $85. If you have questions, you should contact the office.
