From a distance, the apartment is decent. Once I moved in, I started noticing the details. Sidewalks are not all accessible, people do NOT pick up after their pets, the office staff are never there to answer the phones and never willing to be of assistance. They make it clear to you that they are annoyed at answering the phone calls. They over charge for ridiculous miscellaneous items! For an old apartment complex and awful maintenance, they will penalize you for whatever they can. I dropped my rent off on the last day as marked on the lease but because it wasn't in there before they closed their office (not stated in the lease), they charged me extra! I had to pay the market rate price and on top of that, over $200 in late charges and penalties! I have a 578 sq ft apartment and ended up paying over $900!! That's very unfair. The foundation is awful! My doors are hard to shut and open now, my sink and tub clogs up regularly. I always have to call maintenance to come unclog it but they don't fix it! I had to install an alarm system because maintenance came into my apartment and left my BALCONY DOOR OPEN!! My A/C was running all day! When I brought it up to the management's attention, they said they would call me back with a resolution. 2 weeks passed and I never got a response. I had to call THEM back and see what was going on. Instead of apologizing and working a compromise, they denied ever coming into my apartment (i had a notice stating when they came in), blaming the fact that I may not have locked it correctly. They didn't take responsiblity for any of their mishaps on their work and employees. Awful place. I don't even feel safe being there and I'm having to pay an arm and a leg for that small ass piece of ---- shack. I can't wait to move out!!!!
