In regards to comments made about the water bill: although it is a consolidation of 4 bills, it's still higher than what I'm use to paying. As for the vallet trash, it seems that a lot of other properties are beginning to do this as well. I've lived in Valley Ranch for 5 years, and only heard of this when I moved to the Oaks in 2007. When I started searching for a new apartment recently, many of the properties I went to were also offering the same service, so be ready for that if you decide to move.

Now, to be honest, while I don't care for the water bill, which is probably the least favorite thing I like about being here, my reason for leaving isn't because of that. I've enjoyed my stay. The reason I'm leaving is because we're trying to save for a house, and needed a cheaper apartment. Ironically, we found a good deal at the Oaks' sister property -- the Vistas at Hackberry Creek. It's a two bedroom with more square footage and about $75 cheaper. It's great because it's still with the same management company, and with the same appliances and amenities.

I do, however, recommend staying at the Oaks.
