I lived at these apartments from Apr 08 to 09. I signed up a lease with Zach Elder for 10 months originally but later extended it to one year which was accepted by the management without any fuss. Rent was reasonable and so were the utility bills. One has to keep in mind that the utility includes $20 for Trash, water and Waste water AND water heating since the hot water runs on natural gas. I got an avg of 85 bucks for the 12 months which was reasonable since my electricity bill never averaged over 70 bucks.

Maintenance is always on time and work done is smooth. I loved the customer service. Best part of these apts was the greenery. There were so many trees that 50% of their open parking could be called shaded parking due to the trees. Being on the ground floor, we did have some problems with earthworms but after pest control treated the surroundings, they were under control.

The apartments were renovated in 2005/6 and hence the carpet, appliances and toilets are almost new and well maintained. One issue is that the floor boards were kind of loose at certain places and would give creaky noises when people above you walked over. So good luck with getting into an apt which doesnt have such a problem (I would actually overrule this issue given the apartment cleanliness, service and friendliness).

Moveout was also without issues. They refunded me the $125 deposit ($100 security and $25 for Gym/pool Access card) and adjusted the amount in the final utility bill.

Overall, i would definitely recommend this apartment. Just make sure that you have adequate lighting coming in since a very few apts have huge trees near the patios/balconies blocking natural light.
