This place simultaneously sucks and blows - something I thought was previously impossible. I was wrong.

The People.
These are Section 8 scum balls. They way they dress, they way they behave, their lack of even rudimentary manners or respect, their wanton destruction...its like a prison population. The youth dress as gang members and speak perhaps worse. I constantly wonder when I will recognize a member of the ten most wanted here. Speaking of which, according to the Texas Sex Offender Database (checked on 4/01/2007), there are two rapists living on site. Great. Did I mention our apartment was broken into' No' It was.

The Property.
Ugly. Old. Poorly maintained. It looks like a Section 8 property. Sinkholes masquerading as potholes in the parking lot. Parking lot lighting like strobes on and off as in a disco. I frequently see trash on the grounds. The interiors are equally old. My Microwave, and I kid you not, is 23 years old. One more time...its 23 years old (Look at the manufactured date....August 1984). And it doesn't work!
The craftsmanship on the sheet rock is laughable...there are gaps in the walls!

The Maintenance.
I have made three requests to replace my non-functioning 23 year-old microwave. Nothing. 6 weeks and nothing. I gave up. The junction box in my apartment went out and it took 6 hours for someone to finally decide that an apartment w/o power was important. Lets see, three phone calls and two trips to the office...6 hours of no power. It gets a minus one rating here.

The Staff.
Perhaps the only bright spot here. I mean, they actually have staff working here. They seem nice and friendly. Unless you have a maintenance request. They place those, I swear in contradiction to the laws of physics as I and Stephen Hawking understand, in a miniature black hole in the back office. *poof* Complaint gone. I guess that's one way to show that maintenance requests are down.

Noise.
Pretty good. Mostly because the tenants go on their nightly crime sprees so they aren't home to make noise. Unless one counts the blaring of sirens...

Overall.
A relatively dry spot under a bridge is far better. Avoid this place at all costs..unless you are section 8 or a rapist. Then its ok I guess. I'd give this place zero stars but the rating system wouldn't let me.

Section 8 is not available at Parkridge Place; that...I am quite sure of.

FYI: I checked the sex offender website today (9/18/07) and there are no sex offenders listed for this property. There are two sex offenders on the same street but different apt. complexes.
