I have finished 8 months at this apartment complex. I've liveed in apartments around the country for close to 6 years and know quite a bit about them. I'm also a very reasonble tenant, and I do not normally complain about the smallest things; that's why I chose this apartment despite some concerns I had.
When I moved in, many things were missing, and I gave a written notice about them- the upstairs blinds were broken, but noone turned up to repair them. Over a period, other things fell apart- taps in the kitchen and upstairs bath broke as they were very flimsy; the ciling fans in the living and dining areas were shaky, the kitchen tap filter fell away, the upstairs bedroom window glass broke and the window mesh in the dining area fell off- noone turned up to replace or repair these for over 2 months, despite 3 phone calls.
Finally I gave a written notice, and noone turned up for a week, and finally someone did after a lot of coaxing.
I have always paid my rent very well ahead of time (sometimes over 15 days ahead); and I got a rude notice with very acerbic language that I would need to vacate premises ASAP as I "had not paid rent". I went to the Rental office outraged and showed them the copies of the checks I had paid. They said they didn't have a manager for 2 months and may have missed out on recording those checks. There were 2 others who had the same problem there, complaining. And they were rude and discourteous through it all.
They require 60 days' written notice for leaving; and I did this well ahead of time as well, stating I would like to terminate the lease, but would like to sign up on a month-to-month basis, and inquired explicitly as to how this can be activated. When I went in to the office to deliver this notice, they said I would get a new lease form and then it would be activated. I waited for 1 month, and decided to move on account of a change of job to another state. When the new apartment complex I was applying to in that state sent Remington Hills a tenant verification request, they called me and told me that I had not given notice. I told them that I was not given a contract for this, and they refused to budge, saying I would need to pay them rental in excess of $1075 for the month I would not be in residence. This forced me to give another notice for vacation, and I decided to take them to the small claims court. That process is just beginning.
Be warned! Do not approach these terribly greedy and uncaring people.

This is the writer of the above review- let me give credit where it is due- after much debate, the management agreed to settle for the previous notice period, and it turned out well... but all the above negative points are true...
