Declining rapidly

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
When I moved in here in 2006 I thought the apartment was a good deal for the money (I don't need an ultra-fancy apartment) but over the last year things have really declined a lot and I would not recommend this place at all. The final straw was the week of July 9, 2007 when the entire complex went for 6 days without hot water. Now I understand that every apartment will have interruptions in water service for a day or two but a whole week is just ridiculous. Even when the hot water service was restored, it was still not that hot. There is a roach problem in most of the units (mine included) and it just keeps getting worse, despite the fact that they made us take everything out of our cabinents to spray for them. I don't leave food sitting around so the roaches must be coming in from somewhere else. No one enforces the curfew on the pool (10PM) so on most summer nights you get to listen to kids screaming until midnight or beyond if you have an apartment near the pool (who takes small children to the pool at midnight on a weeknight'). And generally the units do not seem to be solidly built, as I can hear every step my upstairs neighbor takes. The one positive I will mention is that their maintenance team is responds quickly and is friendly but unfortunatley that doesn't make up for the negatives. And now they have increased the rent again. I will definitely not be renewing my lease.
