I am a new resident to Irving, my co. relocated me to Irving and I did my homework before considering moving to theses apartments. I wanted a nice apartment with enough sq. footage for the price and did not want to end up paying an arm and a leg for it. I also wanted something close to my company located in Las Colinas.
People face the facts. An apartment is and apartment does not matter what you pay for it and where it is located in. The facts are that it does not matter what apartment you live in you are going to deal with matenance problems in the apartment, some more then others depending what year your building was built. You are going to have to deal with thin walls, noisy neighbors, the resident down the hall with a millions kids that run all over the place. And just like a car, apartments do need routine maintenance considering the amount of people that live and use the facilities. And one thing I did notice in Texas it that people tend to be ruder then Minnesota where I relocated from, I am a native Texan born in San Antonio. So you are going to have to deal with rude staff from time to time that rather be shopping then working, that comes with the territory. And we do live in Texas, so some type of insect or rodent problem is unavoidable. I do have to admit I would prefer the apartments be located more in the N. MacArthur area, the apartments are nice, but the location is not as great as I would have expected for such nice apartments. But off course just like in Business location is key and if you want the location you have to pay for it. Many apartments I saw and Toured in Las Colinas and Valley Ranch part of town were old, small and expensive.
Now if we have learned anything from this website and our experiences is that the answer to our noise neighbors, maintenance problems, disorganize mgmt, old buildings with poor insulation, and expensive rent
is...................................
GET YOUR OWN DAMN HOUSE, for the most part its cheaper then paying rent. You'll have your privacy, your own maintenance problems, and no body to get mad at but yourself if you wake up with a rat in the kitchen or the toilet over flows and it takes you a week to fix it.
Bottom line is an apartment is an apartment and all theses problems come the territory of renting instead of buying. Theses apartments are nice for the price, I got a great deal on my lease and by next year I will be purchasing my house so I would have to be another statistic.

Not everyone is in a position to buy a house. Example: I am in a transition period with my company. I am in a position to where I might transfer and have to move. Tell me why I would buy a house if I knew I might be moving?? Therefore, I need something temporary. IE: an apartment! Now. This apartment complex supposedly offers a gated community - not true b/c the gates are constantly broken. They supposedly offer a work out facility. Not true b/c one treadmills has been dead since I've been here and now they both are. (And the equipment is now facing the wall...ridiculous). The landscaping has been terrible...although they have made an effort lately. And everyone except Mariah in the office is a b***....OR they don't know what they are doing! SO...ME, paying what I'm paying to live here...expect much better than this. You have lived here a grand total of 1 month. I'd like to see your review after 6. |
