I moved in last month after having given some thought to the various postings on this site. So here's my review after a month:

GOOD: The staff is very helpful and I have found maintenance to be very responsive to my requests (though you do have to remind them it seems). The apartment is cute and spacious and very reasonably priced compared to others of the same quality in Las Colinas. The location is great since you can get to so many fwys and hwys quickly. And by taking 183 I have no traffic issues working in downtown Dallas. Also they finally fixed the gates and they've been working well ever since.

BAD: There's a monopoly on the cable television that requires you to use the SBC DirectTV that has a main satellite on the top of the leasing office OR you will have to have Dish Network or DirectTV do your own dish and pay a $100 satellite deposit to the office. You can't use comcast or any of the other cable providers, because they don't have lines in the apts. Another issue is parking. It can get pretty crowded in some of the areas by 7pm and that sucks when you just went grocery shopping and have to hike back to your apt with them. Also, I've had a number of maintenance issues- 2 burners on the stove were inoperable when I moved in, the bathroom tub has a leaky faucet, there's currently also a leak that goes from underneath the tub into the closet that's next to it... Not sure if everyone has the maintenance issues I've had, but it's certainly been far more issues in 1 1/2 months then I've had in yrs of living at other places. Maintenance responds quickly though, which puts me at ease and helps renew my faith in my choice of apt. My last complaint is simply that I have to pay for a carport. It seems to me that if you have no garage, 1 carport space should go along with the cost of your apt.

Hope this helps anyone out there considering moving in here. Overall the place is good and I'm glad I moved in, but every once in a while something breaks and I get ticked off, then they come fix it quickly and I'm cool again. Now if I could just choose my own cable provider!!! =)

I was told that there are not enough carports to go around for the whole community and that's why you don't get a free covered parking. There's only two or three carports and that isn't hardly enough for every resident to get one. Most of the apartments come with garages and if people would use their garages to park their cars instead of storage there probably would be more parking spaces. Overall I'm happy with my choice of community sometimes things do break but maintenance is always there to fix it right away.
