I really thought this was a nice complex, but after living here now since the first of the year, I am now really ready to move!

Don't ever trust the staff here! I know for a fact that the assistant manager steals from residents once they get locked out
(this happens after 9 days of late rent! The maintenance guy helps her with this as well!!!

Besides that there are several other problems with this complex:

Some evenings we can't find a place to park!

There are older kids who run all over the complex, up and down the buildings(sounds like a herd of elephants), and when you call the off hour number you never get a response!

Tons of ant beds in the playground(my little girl has been stung several times after going to play)!

Electric bill is $284 this month for a 1 & 1/2 br apt!

I am not a negative or overly picky person. These are surprising extras you get after you sign the lease! I wish I would have signed a 7 month instead of 12!!!

Rent is late by the morning of the third, if paid on time, then no notices are delivered. Also Michelle, the assistant manager, makes courtesy calls to everyone whose rent WAS NOT paid prior to ANY notices being delivered. The National Apartment Association clearly outlines that notices are to be posted on the inside of the front door or hand delivered to the resident for your own personal privacy. Regarding lockouts...after an eviction/writ is filed on a resident and judgment awarded management has the right to remove and/or sell any items left in the apartment. About the playground, if at anytime there was a problem pest control was certainly here to handle the situation and if it was not corrected the first time that???s what management and the front office staff is there for, TO HELP! The staff at San Simeon has always been helpful and wants to make sure you are at home. They always ask, "IS EVERYTHING OKAY?!" Do you recall? If there was problem at anytime you definitely should have contacted the front office or management over the assistant since she "can't be trusted". There's management OVER management so there is no excuse for this pettiness. Last but not lease there is such thing as Defamation of Character which can land you a lawsuit in court. So if I were you I'd be careful to make sure everything you???re saying, you can prove.

Hi there, Raymond again here...I know everyone is thinking, damn, does he ever go away...nope I sure don???t. As a resident I have the right to post my comments, after all, that???s why this site was created.
Anyhow, not many apartment complexes have parking at 3:00am or 4:00am...but I don???t think I have had too many issues with that. Honestly, yes it has happened to me, but I was coming in from the bars at 4:00am, was that the case with you too? As far as the kids, that???s just the way kids are. If you lived in a house, the kids would be doing something that would not be to your liking because they are not your children. C'mon, be nice, you don't want to be that old grouchy cat lady that is called the neighborhood witch because you can???t stand other peoples kids.
Now, to the ants, if you stopped leaving your child unattended, then maybe she wouldn't have been bitten. Or try to be more vigilant of where you set her down at or where she plays. That should be your responsibility right? Not the staff at San Simeon.
In conclusion, the electric bills have gone up for everyone and if I may suggest something, try the energy efficient bulbs and maybe regulate the time your lights stay on. When I 1st signed my lease, I was never told that they guarantee low electric bills; I kinda figured I would have to regulate that myself and do my best to conserve. I do believe everyone in America has seen the end of low electric, gas, and energy bills. It's not the Staff's fault some people don???t pay rent when everyone else does. It's also not their fault kids get set down on ant piles or run around the complex.
