At first glance, the apartments seem like a great place to live. The office staff seems helpful. I thought that I was in good hands when I moved in. Who would have thought that once you signed your lease everything would change.
Maintenance: They make you make all maintenance requests in writing. But 6 months later things still aren't fixed. When you ask about the problem, they just can't seem to find the document that that make you fill out.
The Staff: Every time I go into the office, the staff seems to change. The staff is always too busy to offer good help or to listen to your problem
THe Apartment: Don't be fooled. THe apartments look nice on the surface but they are cheaply built. THe dishwashers are cheap. The apartments do not get warm. The energy bills for the past month were all about $300. That is expensive for a 1 bd apt. The energy bills are so expensive because the apartments are not energy effecient. The windows do not have double panes. Air just comes right into the apartment. It is as if you are standing inside. Everything in the apartment is cheap. and repairs that were done to the apartment before I moved in were poorly done. I hate living here. I was deceived by the appearance of the apartments.
Noise: Neighbors get up at 5:30 everymorning an blast their music. The windows are so cheap that when someone is outside talking, it seems like the windows are up. Horrible. Utilities THey tell you when you move in that you have a choice for your internet, phone, and cable service. They lie to get you to sign a lease. The truth is that cable, phone, and internet must be done through att. Because you must use ATT you do not get the same rates for the same services from aTT in other places. You can not have a basic phone you must have additional features on your phone line. This is useless if you only have a phoneline for dsl.
Price: Don't waste your money. YOu could live in downtown dallas for the price that you pay to live here. THey say it's the area but there is a dollar store right down the street. It is not worth the money.
Overall: When my lease is up, I am gone or if there is another cold night I may just break my lease. It is worth it. DON'T MOVE HERE
