I lived there in 1998-99 and always paid my rent on time. In October of 99 I paid on the 2nd and have a front/back copy of my check showing they cashed the check on the 4th. On the 9th I got a letter saying I was being evicted for non payment. I was furious and approached the mgmnt staff. The assured me it would be ok. 2 days later and knock, knock a constable with a eviction order. Yes it was dismissed and I have a letter from S/P saying it was thier mistake but it still counts as a Public Record! Towards the end of my lease (after the first debacle) they almost towed my car even though the permit was visible and I was in my assigned spot. thankfully I heard the two truck hooking me up at 12am, otherwise I probably would have thought my car was stolen, etc.

I guess you are the only perfect person in Irving. How rude of them to make an error and then appologise. You must have been outraged. They should have been grateful that your rent was only one day late.

This complex has a lot of problems. Not only with issues of drug dealing but also paying their bills on time. Now, they can charge you for being late in your rent, but they don't pay the water bill on time leaving all tenants liable for late payments...the result? Water Shut OFF with no notice to tenants. Also, trash in dumpsters spilling out all over the place was caused by tenants who allowed their kids to pick through it and unleashed dogs on the property. A City Code Enforcement Officer arrived and was so irritated about office staff being too busy that he decided "by writing a citation, maybe that will get the owner's attention to correct this continuing issue" That is a direct quote by the way. Also, a lot of people who are on this property are incurrable drunkards and whores. You can watch from your window the young girls and young men connecting across the street and then bringing it onto the property. It doesn't take long before you realize you would have been better renting somewhere else. Also, the office staff is very disorganized since they fired two of the better employees. The phone will just ring and ring, then you are on hold for so long that the phone disconnects you. Also, rent is due by the 3rd. That is the same for any Texas Rental Agency Contract. Also any maintenance that is sewage, lack of cool air or heat, or lack of water is to be paid for by the property, not the renters. Anyone of you should know to access Tenant Council of Dallas on-line and all the rights are explained in detail. Dont be confused by the title for Dallas though, these rights are the same for all tenants of Texas. So read up and take charge when you are dealt with incorrectly and then made to feel it is your fault. Also, when or if a vehicle is being towed, it is required that the towing company take a picture of the vehicle violation of regulations on that property. If you are not provided with this proof you may file in Civil Court for any costs incurred by illegal towing procedures, as well as any damage your vehicle suffers due to the towing. My question is why they allow vehicles that are not tagged and are broken down with no registration or expired registration to remain on the property? The incidents of vehicles that have been obviously dumped on the property are not being towed and remain in their shabby condition bringing down the appearance of the property.
